On Mission in Dekalb County

My God will supply all of your needs according to His
riches in Glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Instead of a Kentucky Mission Trip, we have decided that our mission field this year is here in DeKalb County. This will not be a typical trip and depends on needs and availability of volunteers. The needs will be ongoing and they can use us whenever we have volunteers to work.

I am searching for ways we can help through the LTRC of which David Patty is the Chairman. Let me also know if you know of a specific need out there.

In order to adequately present Ministry Projects to you, I need to know your interests, skills, and available days you may have to be a part of a project.

Please fill out the appropriate information on one of the clipboards by Rupil Hall, and in the Church Foyer. Be as specific as possible.

You will see on the clipboard, there are also different opportunities available, such as: Handy Man Jobs (all skills are necessary and needed), pounding (shower) for a home owner moving back into their home, take lunch to a work crew, clean the yard, help them move, collect household items, & much more.

All ages, men, women, and youth are needed. We know that some of you could only work on a Saturday, any day works. Let’s get out of our comfort zone to help those who lost so much during the tornado.

We will have another “FBC On Mission In DeKalb Co.” Meeting this Wednesday in the Conference Room at 5:00. Come and join us. Bring your ideas and supper.

I will soon give you a project we will work on. This is all a work in progress. Pray for this project for: God’s Guiding Hand, each of us can find a place to help, and that we can show that God does supply all of our needs and that He can use ordinary people like you and me to accomplish His tasks.
